Let’s Talk Politics Comes to Arlington Heights
Tenth Dems is hosting another in their successful series of Let’s Talk Politics classes, this time in Arlington Heights. Tenth Dems have held Let’s Talk Politics classes all over the 10th Congressional District, from Deerfield to Lincolnshire, from Waukegan to Buffalo Grove.
This event will be on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Panera Bread, 5 West Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Let’s Talk Politics is a part of Tenth Dems University, and like all TDU courses, is free and open to all. Advance registration is not required, but it helps to let us know how many to expect. As it has at the many Let’s Talk Politics events around the district, the floor is open to any topic at these gatherings, so arrive ready to talk. Do you want to discuss the general election, or the economy? Maybe you have another topic related to local or national politics that no one else seems to be addressing. This is your chance to bring it up.
These sessions are open to everyone, regardless of age. You don’t have to be a member of Tenth Dems, and you don’t have to live in the town where the session takes place. Sessions are led by a moderator, but what we discuss is up to you and the others who attend. The discussions so far have been interesting and lively. To pre-register, go to TenthDemsU.org.
“Tenth Dems U” — established by the Tenth Congressional District Democrats, or Tenth Dems, for short — is a series of classes designed to teach potential candidates, campaign volunteers and interested voters about the issues facing our community.
The courses consist of one session each, are free of charge and are offered at various locations around the 10th Congressional District. Registration is easy and can be done at www.TenthDemsU.org. Tenth Dems is a group of grassroots political volunteers who formed the organization in late 2003 to help elect Democrats to all levels of office throughout the 10th District.
