What: The Exchange Club of North Chicago has founded Lake County Illinois Honor Flight, an organization that established an official Honor Flight Hub that will transport veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifices. You are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and to participate in the fundraiser, “Dunk a Mayor.” Mayor Leon Rockingham, City of North Chicago, and Mayor Kristina Kovarik, Village of Gurnee, and other special guests have volunteered to be in a dunk tank in support of the club and our veterans.

What: The 14th Annual Waukegan Township Walk for Seniors invites you to walk, bike or run. Participants raising $25 or more in pledges will receive a commemmorative Walk for Seniors T-Shirt. At the close of the race, the victory celebration will be in Victory Memorial Park with awards to Oldest, Youngest, and First-place runners.
