The Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival and Pumpkin Carving Contest

When: Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 1:00 -10:00 pm.

Where: Carving stations in Highwood (locations vary)

What: Children’s pumpkin carving begins when District 112 schools are out at 1:00 pm. Market vendors, live music and children’s activities from 4:00 – 10:00 pm. Enter the “Most Pumpkins Carved Simultaneously Contest” that begins a 7:00 pm. Arrive at 6:00 pm to help set up or at 6:30 pm for the warm-up show by Midtown.

Sponsors and volunteers are needed for Highwood’s world record breaking effort to carve 32,000 pumpkins. There‚Äôs a job for everyone and shifts are as short as 2 1/2 hours. For volunteer information or to sign up, send an email or contact 773-593-1407. More information on Facebook.
