Oakton Three-Part Film Series on Race

What: The Oakton Community College Anti-Racism Team presents a three-part series, “Race: The Power of an Illusion.” Films on the three nights examine (3/26) the use of science to challenge the belief that humans can be sorted by physical characteristics, (4/2) how race was used to rationalize and justify American social inequalities, and (4/9) how race inhabits politics, economics and cultures.
Discussions will follow each viewing.
