What: The Chicago Area Peace Action (CAPA) announces the Chicago Premiere of Jeremy Scahill’s critically acclaimed new documentary, “Dirty Wars.” The film traverses the globe to expose the vast network of covert operations, from targeted assassinations to coup attempts, being undertaken by our country with neither our knowledge nor our approval.

What: A vigil to commemorate the six-month anniversary of the Sandy Hook shootings will be held by Newtown Action Alliance in partnership with People for a Safer Society, Citizens for Safer Communities, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Women’s Resource Center, Northwest Suburbs Organizing for Action, Lake/McHenry Organizing for Action, Palatine Township Democrats, Northwest Suburban Women Democrats, and Common Sense Reform, among others.
